Product description

TT-294 is an anti-corrosion coating with extremely good adhesion to metals such as steel, galvanized steel, aluminum, and most paints and plastics. Exposed to higher temperatures it will aluminise automatically. The pure aluminium particles will melt together with the metal and will protect against rust. Forms a whole through fusion with the spot weld and the sheet metal. TT-294 is elastic, chemically resistant and is perfectly paintable with most primers.

WELDABLE AND PAINTABLE ALUMINIUM BASE LAYER

  • Composition: aluminium with synthetic resin.
  • Colour: aluminium.
  • Aspect: satin / shiny.
  • Melting: at temperatures around +650°C the aluminium parts will melt, and attach to the surface.
  • Recommended layer: depending on the application, or the underlay, 1 flowing layer is sufficient.
  • Adhesion on: ferrous and non-ferrous metals, steel, galvanized steel, sanded aluminium,... as well as on wood and most synthetic materials.
  • Chemical resistance: resists most acids and alkalis; weather resistant.
  • Shelf life: 24 months, keep dry, cool and frost-proof.

as weldthrough-groundlayer in welding industry, general maintenance, car body work, garages,... .

as an anti-corrosion layer for collectors, central heating burners, exhausts, brake calipers,... .

Instructions

  • Apply on a dry and clean surface. If necessary, first clean and degrease with TT-1014 Sikker Afrens FS and/or TT-1007 Superfoam.
  • Sand and dust the surface if necessary.
  • Shake well after releasing the mixing ball.
  • Apply thin layers from +/- 25 cm.
  • After use, empty the spray head by holding the can upside down.

 

Can be degreased with Safety Clean when dry. Apply TT-294 as a groundlayer, finish with lacquer.
